The starting pitching on this staff is second to none. If the bullpen can keep up, I stack this team up against anyone, including the dreaded New York Yankees! |

Watching this 4th Eagles preseason game was a waste of brain cells. None of the regulars or starters played, and the game was simply awful. I long for the days when Buddy played his team all preseason games, and no one got hurt. I am all for the 18 game season, and from what I am hearing, it is all but a done deal. If it means we don't have to sit through what I sat through Thursday, I say git to it! |

The Phillies are virtually on the same pace they were the last couple of years with practically the same win loss record. So the problem is not the Phillies, it is Atlanta, who refuses to lose. |

I give Ruben a B+ grade. The only thing I don't really like (besides the Cliff Lee non-move) is how this team is put together without any meat and potato players who can bunt or not strike out so much or move players along. If we had a better lead off man, this team would be fantastic. |

I've been here a while before and my computer crashed, but now I'm back online. So I just wanted to say thanks. I appreciate the way you guys run this forum, and though I may not post a lot, I do read almost everything, and just wanted to say you guys do a great job. Keep up the good work in keeping the Riff Raff out. |

All things considered, Rubén Amaro Jr. has done a dammn pretty good job. I wouldn't trade him for any GM in Baseball right now. The only questionable thing he's done was to trade Cliff Lee for nothing, and he made up for that in signing Oswalt in my book, so he's good! |

The eagle's are finally letting go of Crazy man Andrews, and frankly, this is one move I agree with. this guy is officially the laziest most selfish player I can remember. http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/88337797.html Depression my Arse! This guy is a thief, and wants sympathy for it? NO!!! I can't argue with that. At least not intelligently! ![]() But the problem is, now the New York Giants have picked him up. Let's hope this guy doesn't come back to bite us in the arse! And he's running his mouth as usual too, claiming he's waiting fot our game. Jerk and Bumb or not, we all know this guy can be a very good player when he wants to be. I dunno, but I got my fingers crossed that he gets tired in New York and wants to get his Michael Phelps on! ![]() |
