  • First and foremost, this forum was started because we became disillusioned with the mean spirited disparagement and flaming posters found in a lot of other Sports Forums. Therefore, please keep these rules in mind...

    1. This is the Philly Sports LOUNGE, meaning it exists so that people can partake in non confrontational conversations, civil sports discussions or debate. Of course good humored trash talking is fine, but if you simply want to denigrate people or "Rant n Rave" to see who can post the most clever put-downs, then this is not the forum for you.

    2. Please do not post copyrighted material in this forum. You may post a brief synopsis or excerpt, and then place a link to where the original article may be found.

    3. We'd like to think our members have a little more decorum and class than most message boards. So X-rated profanity laced posts are unacceptable here. Please keep your language to a "PG" or at best low "R" rating. We are flexible, but please show some class.

    4. In sports debate (and because of human nature), things do tend to get a little heated at times. So the rule of thumb is, "if you can't take the heat, Stay out of the Kitchen". Likewise, personal ridicule, mean spirited name calling, harassment, or getting into the personalities of the people in this forum is inappropriate also. Your focus should stay on sports and the sports personalities, not the personalities of the posters.

    5. If you change the subject matter of a thread, and will continue discussing this other topic, you should start another thread instead. Please do not have two or three continuing topics, covered in one thread. In other words, the Title of the thread should represent what is actually in the thread.

I've been here a while before and my computer crashed, but now I'm back online. So I just wanted to say thanks. I appreciate the way you guys run this forum, and though I may not post a lot, I do read almost everything, and just wanted to say you guys do a great job. Keep up the good work in keeping the Riff Raff out.
