Rhea Hughes loves animals and that's what drives her to be so outspoken and passionate about Michael Vick. I don't think she is venom filled at all, she just lets her emotions get the best of her sometimes because she loves animals,

I think Rhea Hughes is a jackass, a vicious Bitch and a closet racist, and she thinks no opinion is valid but her own. She's almost like a female Dick Cheney, with a harder personality. She's a right wing nitwit. It is a shame when people are so twisted that they love animals and have more humanity for them than human beings.

and what Vick did to them was so terrible. I wish she would be a little more forgiving, but that's just her conservative personality. I don't hold that against her.

But that's just it. She can't be a little more forgiving, because that's who she really is. What you see is what you get. There is no "good person" under that skin, there's Ann Coulter there. She is a vicious, judgmental, unrepenting, vindictive, self-righteous bitch. That's why people dislike her so, you would think she was perfect and never made a mistake. But those who grew up with her can tell you different. But now she acts like she never made a mistake in her life.

Did you hear the way she came out against this judge who removed a officer's picture from the court room, according to the letter of the law? Her and Angelo both were irrational and emotional. If that's not venom I heard, then I don't know what a snake is. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.

I don't say that part of Rhea is attractive, and as I said, she could use a little dose of humanity, but I'm sure she'd say the same thing about Michael Vick. There is no law against being conservative.

Self righteous at times I give you, but I think she gets a lot of that from working with Angelo. And I do think she is a good person, just not as forgiving as a good person should be. Maybe it's because of her Catholic background.

What can I say. Yes, at times she's self righteous, but so are we all. The only difference is that she is on the radio and thus is called out on it more because she's heard by thousands of people. I like her because she's a tough girl. yes, maybe too tough at times, but she wouldn't be Rhea by being someone else. Why not practice what you preach and forgive her for being vindictive or not perfect. think of your own imperfections, and give her a break.

This was my comment in 2009:

I like Rhea too. What ever happened to her Saturday show on WIP? I miss that. It was pretty good. She was very personable. They never have a regular woman host on WIP. And Rhea would be the perfect candidate.

This is my comment today. 2010:

Rhea is a vindictive, Peta-wannabe, hateful smart-ass with an attitude. She had me fooled for a while with her previous "I'll be tough but fair" personna, but that's all gone now and she has shown herself to be as hateful as Howard eskin, a kiss-ass for the morning crew and nothing but a highly praised go-fer.

I just can't stand people who are two faced and hypocrits!

Rhea's a down to earth Philly Girl we all should be proud of:

Asked in the Out and About Interview: What’s your least favorite part of workings Sports?

http://www.out-and-about.com/Default.aspx?DN=1680,1679,1678,1118,4,2,1,Documents

She said,  "...What drives me nuts is that when anything goes wrong in Philadelphia, it becomes incredibly convenient for the team, the coaches, the players, the owner, and frankly a lot of the media people, to blame the fan. I lose my mind over that more than anything else. These people are your customers. What other line of business could you get away with criticizing your customers? There’s a segment of the population that’s getting really tired of being the whipping boy. It really bothers me when media people do it. And what I found is that most media people who do it are not from here."

That's the part of Rhea Hughes I love as a Philly girl WIP radio personality. And she used to be very fair in dealing with everyone when she first started out with Angelo Cataldi and the morning show. She actually kinda kept Angelo in line somewhat. But there's another part of her (that seems to be coming out more and more lately) where she shows her mean and spiteful side, where she is just cruel, unkind and even it seems malicious at times. Especially when talking about people like Michael Vick. She actually seems to hate the man, who she doesn't really know from Adam, except for the terrible thing he did with his dogs. Which we all know and despise. And that hatred just doesn't sit well with me, and shows she has a dark side. Reminds me of Michael Jackson, who said he'd never forgive his father for spnking/hitting/beating him when he was little. And obviously he never did. Call me crazy, but I think there's something inherently wrong with that type thinking. Now I know Vick is not Rhea's father, but the hateful vindictive principle is the same. I'm sure they rationalized it in their minds where they think it is a strength or even "virtue," but I look at it for what it really is. And I feel sad for them. In Michael's case. he was a little crazy. What's Rhea's excuse?

At times I love Rhea, but I just can't get over her vindictiveness. Maybe she's been hanging around Angelo too much. Or maybe they're just birds of a feather and that is their true nature. It's a shame because she could have been great, the sky the limit, instead of someone's sidekick pet. but on the other hand, she's grown rich (relatively speaking) from it so what the heck do I know.
